Flux is a browser-based data exploration tool that turns raw rows into insight. Users upload or paste structured data,

and the app automatically suggests chart types, detects data types (dates, currencies, categories), and renders respon

sive visualizations using modern charting libraries.

The interface should feel like a lightweight BI tool: drag-and-drop column mapping, filterable date ranges, toggle bet

ween line/bar/area/pie views, and a "dashboard grid" where users can pin multiple charts. Include a dark mode, export

any chart to PNG/SVG, and a "share view" that serializes the dashboard state to a URL hash so snapshots can be bookmarked or sent to others.

All data processing stays client-side — no server upload required. The challenge is in making messy, real-world data feel effortless to explore.

Core requirements:

• CSV/JSON import and parsing with error handling

• Auto-detected data types with manual override

• At least 4 chart types (line, bar, area, pie/doughnut)

• Dashboard grid with resizable/reorderable chart cards

• Date range filtering that propagates across all charts

• Export individual charts to PNG or SVG

• Shareable URL state (serialize filters and layout)

• Responsive down to mobile

Stretch goals:

• Live spreadsheet-style data editor inline

• Trend annotations (draw on charts, add note markers)

• Statistical summaries (mean, median, correlation hints)
